decadent dark side

Paul Auster:
The Music of Chance
could consider this as one of the smaller works American writer. In any case, a book long before its current decline. Paul Auster to write, do it with gusto and rhythm. As already stated elsewhere, Auster is right in the border separating the novel, say, literary bestseller airport or train station at high speed. In this short story, Auster reflects on the dark side, again and again leaves us with the feeling that Paul Auster did not live a very happy youth. His ability to show poverty, need, frustration of not being able to achieve a better life, or even a decent life, is so big that you think they must be born of actual experience, not mere observation. The history of the ruined player, his partner of gambling dens, the two rich men who offer treatment rather gloomy, all creates a claustrophobic atmosphere reminiscent of pseudonovelas Kafka. Like them, in Auster's characters seem to go nowhere, as if the world was a maze in which they, the characters, always choose the wrong path that leads to the worst possible place. We repeat: the dark side. Now that Paul Auster seems to have exhausted the reef and that his works began to smell of burnt horn, not a bad look on your list and go shopping as we discussed novels, and many more that can be found in paperback . This may not be the best, but the truth is that almost satisfies those who followed him for some time. Chance, the game, the chances. Everything is here. Then took the same cards Auster and we were worse hands (although there was the cafile of fools willing to reírle thanks). Perhaps because he repeated the trick before the same audience is not successful. Know that all magicians. Maybe our man to write and to live, not survive. To live and to live well, to pay for a lifestyle with which I could not have been able to even dream of the days when I was a stranger who wrote his best novels without knowing that he may never repeat the magic. Here, magic is almost complete. Take advantage now, which is then later.

What Happened T O Kates Playground

All

Borges:
The Aleph
Borges was a philosopher who played storytelling. She played with the readers as his powerful mind allowed the luxury of seeing them from above, from paragraph kingdom. He wrote his stories and who knows too good to stoop to such things. Therefore, the tales of Borges can not be read as if they were just stories. Are much more. A book of barely two hundred pages to dozens or even hundreds of readings, is saying a lot. But one gets more than six pages of Borges's complete works of many authors. One can understand García Márquez, emulate Julio Cortázar, Javier Marias imitate , dissect threshold. However, Borges, any attempt to approach from the literary world is doomed to failure. And that is because Borges was not writing literature. Hers was something else. Lo Borges was the finest scholarship in the service of supreme delusion. In others it may seem cumbersome and pedantic, in Borges is shipped with an astonishing naturalness. Quotations in Latin, German, English, references to medieval philosophers, heretics to Muslims, Christian martyrs, to pagan idols, Viking legends, mathematical paradoxes, twists and turns metaphysical alchemical invocation, the whole universe. Even in a seemingly fantastic tale as "The Immortal" is a reflection of another movie: HP Lovecraft. And oddly enough, by imitation, Borges far exceeds the American writer capable of evoking these unreal worlds that walk by those who have been touched by the hands of the gods. In "Emma Zunz" we are told a vengeance. So any best-selling American author would use as a pretext for a brick than a thousand pages, Borges goes and what airs on just eight, and over eight pages, as already noted, inviting to be read again and again, because each word, every comma, every blank space mesentery is a strain on the thousands of nuances, parallel stories. And throughout the book. Fourteen stories are much more than that. Theology, Philosophy, Science, Physics Relativistic. Everything is here, as in the Aleph, which includes this world and all worlds. Everything is contained in this volume.

A delicious crazy worlds

Reinaldo Arenas:
The amazing world
Reinaldo Arenas lived in his own world. In a hallucinatory world, indeed. That at least is clear from reading this novel, the novel called adventures. It is an adventure story and is much more than that. Reinaldo Arenas invented magical realism before it existed at the hands of Gabriel García Márquez, and although Colombia boasts of being the best live English narrator, Reinaldo Arenas would be the most crazy, most famously slipped my mind. Reading this book, we can bring to mind those delicious lies of Baron Munchausen, who entertained her friends during the long winter evenings Europe with tales of things that never happened, but we would have liked to have occurred. Reinaldo Arenas, of course, not a hair cut, and set them as sucking European dominoes. Specifically the English. And especially the people of Madrid. To this they devote more than two pages of insults and Catilin. which leaves no puppet (or Madrid) with head. I do not think he ever engaged in a street in the capital of the Kingdom, go. In other words, that they Reign Arenas had the same affection for the locals that others may have, say, the drug addicts and camels . Tusquets is an editorial that comes out somewhat from the norm, and although from time to time, as is obligatory in English publishers, they screw up the neck by hiring part-mogate pen, it is clear that buying the rights of work of Reinaldo Arenas has been a great success, though, much I fear not being inflated to sell copies of his books. The English literary market, what they want, has become a waste of asshole illustrated. Fortunately for the less affluent pockets, three books of Reinaldo Arenas, among which the present and his autobiography, have gone into paperback, the price topped, hear. The book does not answer to any of the canons of the orthodox narrative. The protagonist lives delusional experiences (or hallucinogenic) and is lie after lie to us, in the European winter or summer Mediterranean delight our cojonera through the efforts of a writer who was once imprisoned in Cuba by anti-revolutionary, This is, fag.

A poultice against folly

Medardo Fraile:
true tales
In Spain have not storytellers. Or not have known, because then, in the posh events that give awards of tens of thousands of euros, rather than showing thousands of stories, written mostly by authors of the Peninsula. The truth is that publishers do not seem very lively to launch the careers of storytellers quality patriotic. Medardo Fraile is, however, an exception to this ruthless rule. For decades, the writer has been publishing books of short stories (stories for adults, it is understood at this point, I say) and one novel, as I read there. It seems to Medardo Fraile he did not want to become famous, because in a market like English, where publishers asshole we are bombarded with seudomisterios farfolleros of zillion pages, there seems to be much room for a volume such as this, a delicious collection of stories, some better and some worse, some fantastic and other realists, some of evasion and other hyper. As is the courtyard, it seems much Medardo Fraile say is one of our best writers of short stories, because there is no competition, why fool. They say that gender is difficult, the genre of story, it is difficult to create a frame on four, five, ten leaves. Meanwhile, the shelves of our bookstores are full of crap literature to stun the residents work if it is not morons and with school teachers, the abnormal and memos television broadcasters who design computer games (ah, and the bastards who sell drugs ). The book we bring here can be a potent vaccine against stupidity, a poultice of euphonious words to divert us from the abyss a bit supine stupidity that rules this world. A balm against the folly, or that it could make several million copies and giving the class to get them to take charge of our hapless schoolboys, as they are doomed to be cannon fodder in the ruthless world of the future that is already present tense, present a play fuck.
